Join LOST for an enlightening event that celebrates the lives of fireflies in all their luminescent diversity. Blaine Rothauser and Nicolette Albanese, ecologists for GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., will give a brief presentation about the life cycle, history, and role fireflies play in the environment, as well as how to make your backyard more “firefly friendly.” This presentation will be followed by a hands-on experience of catching and identifying different species of fireflies through the observation of their flight and flash patterns and morphological traits.
